Frequently asked questions (FAQ)


Appearance Approval Report, AAR, is a standardized approach for an OEM to approve the visual characteristics of a part, or assembly of parts, produced by a supplier. It is one of 19 elements in the Production Part Approval Process, PPAP.

The Appearance Approval Portal is a collaboration platform between Scania and suppliers – designed to power Scania´s AAR-process. The portal contains all relevant information about part AAR status and surface quality.

AAR applies to all parts with an appearance master reference and/or a styling model. It is valid for all new or redesigned parts and when production parameters are changed (see PPAP).

If you are added as a user to your company account:

  1. When you have been added as a user, you will receive a registration email to your registered email address
  2. Check your email inbox and follow the instructions to set your password
  3. Log in to scania-aar.prssystem.se with your registered email address as username and your selected password

 

If you are not added as a user to your company account:

  1. Ask another registered user from your company to add you as a user, or contact aar.inbox@scania.com (make sure to provide your name, email address and company name and describe why you need access to your company account)
  2. When you have been added as a user, you will receive a registration email to your registered email address
  3. Check your email inbox and follow the instructions to set your password
  4. Log in to scania-aar.prssystem.se with your registered email address as username and your selected password

Note: If you did not receive the registration email, check the spam folder of your inbox. If it is not there, try unblocking or adding scania@prssystem.se to your address book and then reset your password again.

If you are logged in to the portal:

  1. Click Profile in the top right corner
  2. Click Reset password under your user settings to receive a password reset link
  3. Check your email inbox and follow the instructions to reset your password

 

If you are not logged in to the portal:

  1. Click Forgot password? on the login page
  2. Enter your registered email address to receive a password reset link
  3. Check your email inbox and follow the instructions to reset your password

Your username is the same as your registered email address. If you have forgotten it:

  • Check your email inbox for the registration email sent to all new users
  • Or, contact another registered user from your company and ask them to log in to the portal and check it for you
  • Or, contact aar.inbox@scania.com and make sure to provide your name, company name and a brief explanation of the problem

Note: If you can’t log in to the portal with your username, your user may have been deleted. You should then have received a deleted user email. If this is the case and your user should not have been deleted, please contact aar.inbox@scania.com for support.

Your username is the same as your registered email address and may not be changed. If it is incorrect for any reason, you or another registered user from your company need to first create a new user and then delete the old user:

  1. Log in to scania-aar.prssystem.se
  2. Click Profile in the top right corner
  3. Click Add user under the company user table
  4. Enter the new user details, including your correct email address that is also your username
  5. Click Save to add the new user (see description of how to log in as a new user)
  6. Click the symbol Delete user to delete the old user with the incorrect email address
